Making sure labels stick and hold fast.

Surface must be:

  • Clean and dry
  • Free from chemicals
  • Free from oily substances
  • In most cases at (or near) room temperature.

Most labels will not stick on to:

  • Rough wood
  • Wax cardboard
  • Cement
  • Woven textiles (canvas, wool)
  • Other irregular surfaces.
  • Dusty surfaces. The labels stick to the dust, not the surface!

When placing labels on a new surface, press firmly and evenly along the length of the label with your hand as labels are pressure sensitive. You may need to rub the label with your hand several times before the label sticks firmly. The heat produced from the friction caused will help the glue bond to the surface it is sticking to.

Your label may take up to 24 hours to fully cure depending on your label and the surface you are sticking your label on to.
